Stage I — The Beginning
Some stories are not born in an instant. They are born slowly, through years of searching, vision, and passion to create something authentic. The story of Fabesis truly began as a response to a deeper need: the need to sound authentic. At that time, there was no instrument that had the character required by Latin music; the machines available at the time lacked the sound we were looking for. Fabesis was not created overnight. It was a process built slowly, step by step, through trials, errors, searching, and vision. An identity that gradually took shape over time.
Stage II — Musical Origins
The Fabesis brand was created by Bautista de Jesús Pérez and officially registered in 2011. A Salvadoran musician, designer, and visionary based in the United States. From the very beginning, Bautista not only developed musical instruments, but also original concepts that broke away from what was traditional within the Latin market.
Bautista was born in El Salvador and later emigrated to the United States, where he began the Fabesis project in 2006. Music has been part of his life since childhood — something carried in his DNA — as he comes from families of musicians on both his father’s and mother’s side. His father was also dedicated to the manufacturing and repair of instruments such as guitars, violins, requintos, and other string instruments, an influence that deeply shaped his passion for music and instrument creation. What began as a personal vision gradually evolved into a constant pursuit of creating instruments with character, identity, and excellence.
Stage III — Creative Expansion
In 2009, Asael Barrios, a musician originally from Guerrero, Mexico, joined the project and brought a new creative dimension to the vision of Fabesis. From an early age, Asael developed a deep connection with music and musical artistry, eventually becoming a fundamental part of the project’s development. His creativity, discipline, and artistic commitment helped shape and strengthen the identity of Fabesis even further. His musical sensitivity and serious approach to art represent the spirit that drives every instrument and every idea within the brand.
Stage IV — Music Production and Sound
Also in 2009, Ricardo Orrantia joined the project, a musician originally from Sinaloa, Mexico, who contributed significantly to the development of the musical foundations and sound production of Fabesis. Ricardo participated by recording instruments characteristic of banda music, including tuba, trumpets, trombone, clarinet, and saxor, incorporating an authentic musical identity and instrumental richness that helped expand the project’s creative reach. During that stage, he also contributed to song mixing and various music production processes. His focus was always deeply connected to music production, strengthening the artistic and audiovisual essence of Fabesis.
Stage V — Building the Identity
Building Fabesis was not easy. It was not only about designing a brand, but also about finding the right language for every creation. One of those concepts was Enclave, a name that represents something different: a niche within another niche, a unique proposal within a market where nothing similar existed. Enclave became the first synthesizer developed specifically with an identity focused on Latin music, marking a clear difference from the conventional keyboards of that era.
Later came Equinex, another conceptual name created by Bautista. The word emerged from the combination of “Equi” and “Nex,” inspired by modern English terminology to convey evolution and technological balance. The Equinex concept represented a new stage in the development of instruments with a more advanced, modern, and futuristic identity, while always maintaining the Latin musical essence that defines Fabesis.
From the design of the synthesizers to names such as Enclave, Equinex, and the MIDI series, every decision required finding something that truly represented a community and a vision. Our music is complex and deserves instruments built with excellence. Instruments capable of inspiring, moving, and deeply connecting with those who create. More than technology, Fabesis represents identity. More than synthesizers, it represents a new form of expression.
