n 2020, while experimenting with different electronic drum setups, we found ourselves using two different drum modules. Each one had its own strengths. One offered an exceptional snare and kick, while the other featured toms, percussion, and electronic sounds that inspired a completely different style of playing.

A simple question soon came to mind:
Why should a drummer have to choose one module over another?
What if the best sounds from both could be combined into a single performance?
At the time, there was no practical solution. Existing systems required complex MIDI programming, extensive editing, or simply couldn't provide the flexibility needed for live performance. Drummers were forced to compromise, selecting one module while leaving the best sounds of the other unused.

That challenge inspired the creation of the Fabesis EDM-1. Working together with an electronics engineers, we began developing a hardware solution capable of routing electronic drum trigger signals instantly between two drum modules. The goal was simple: allow drummers to select the sounds they love from each module without changing their playing technique or dealing with complicated MIDI configurations.
The result is a unique Electronic Drum Trigger Switcher and Mixer that gives drummers complete creative freedom.
With the EDM-1, a single trigger pad can play the snare from one module while triggering the rim sound from another. Toms can come from one sound engine, cymbals from another, and percussion effects from either module. Signals can also be layered simultaneously, creating richer and more expressive drum sounds that would otherwise be impossible using a single module. The EDM-1 transforms two independent drum modules into one powerful creative instrument.

It can switch and mix the electronic drum trigger signals such as the tip and rim from a single trigger to 2 drum modules, now you can play and mix drum sounds from 2 Drum modules with flexibility without the need to go deep into MIDI. • Mix Your Favorite Drum Sounds

The Fabesis EDM-1 can re-route and mix your favorite Head or Rim sound separately from the Drum module of your choice. For example: You can play the Snare Head from Drum Module 1, and pick up that nice Rim sound effect from Module 2 or vice versa using a single trigger pad. In addition. This device has the ability to Mix the signals going out to both Drum modules simultaneously. Now you have the flexibility to play, mix and record newer, richer, full-bodied drum sounds.
